Pressure Vessels can be designed in any shape made of sphere sections or cones but the most commonly used are cylindrical shapes with 2:1 semi-elliptical heads or end caps on each end. Pressure vessels include compressed gas storage tanks, hot water storage tanks, chemical reactors, and refrigerant vessels, where they are designed for pressure greater than 15 psi and a volume greater than 5 cubic feet in volume.
